WinradHD is a Windows-based software-defined radio (SDR) receiver developed by amateur radio operator DG0JBJ. A modernized evolution of Alberto di Bene’s original Winrad, it offers a high-resolution spectrum and waterfall display, smooth tuning and zoom, and low-latency audio for shortwave listening, amateur radio, and general spectrum monitoring.
Via the ExtIO plugin interface, WinradHD supports a wide range of SDR front ends. It provides common demodulation modes (AM, synchronous AM, SSB, CW, FM), adjustable filter bandwidths, AGC, noise reduction and notch filtering, plus both baseband (IF) and audio recording. A frequency manager with bookmarks and CAT rig control through OmniRig help integrate it into station workflows.
WinradHD is distributed as freeware for Microsoft Windows. The project later continued under the name HDSDR; current releases and support are available as HDSDR.
WinradHD is developed by DG0JBJ. The most popular version of this product among our users is 0.1. The name of the program executable file is WinradHD.exe.
